South Darley Parish Council
South Darley parish is largely rural and covers Darley Bridge, Oker, Snitterton and Wensley. Much of the parish is in the Peak District National Park. The Parish Council is the most local form of government and lies within the Derbyshire Dales district. It seeks to work on behalf of our various communities to protect and improve the social, environmental and recreational well-being of the area. In terms of the school, the parish council provides and maintains the small wooded area opposite the school which is used as an educational resource, most notably for our Forest School.
Please visit the Parish Council website (southdarleyparishcouncil.gov.uk) which contains much useful local information, including contact details of Parish Councillors, meeting dates and arrangements as well as agendas and minutes. The parish council is happy to publish any news that may be useful to members of the school community. If you would like to subscribe to the parish magazine, you can request it on the site.
